For culture enthusiasts looking for outings, this is one of September’s must-attend highlights. The Journées du Patrimoine return for a weekend of 19 and 20 September 2026 and a 43rd edition that promises a wealth of discoveries. This European-scale cultural event invites us to explore museums, monuments, churches, institutions, ou même des places normally closed to the public including des ministries, to enjoy a hyper-packed program! Between free tours, new experiences and other original surprises, it’s a real smart pick that makes everyone happy—young and old alike!
No way the City of Light will miss this chance to share with you the secrets of its most splendid treasures, along with the lesser-known monuments. But while Paris often grabs the spotlight, the surrounding region should not be left in the shadows: Île-de-France is packed with surprising heritage gems that are well worth a detour. The Heritage Days are therefore also a perfect excuse to go on a quest for Francilian heritage.
Among the places within reach with a Navigo pass, in the inner suburbs you’ll find the city of Clichy, in the Hauts-de-Seine. Often nicknamed Clichy La Garenne or Clichy sur Seine, to avoid confusion with Clichy-sous-Bois located in Seine-Saint-Denis, this town in the 92 has no shortage of cultural gems you’ll have a chance to discover during Heritage Days 2026. We’re revealing the detailed program below!
