The Sainte-Bathilde Priory of Vanves, a monastery of the Benedictine Congregation of Sainte-Bathilde, is the creation of monk-architect Dom Bellot (1876-1944). It was built between 1934 and 1936.

Modern in outlook, Dom Bellot employs the technical means of his era—brick, concrete, steel framing—in the service of a design that draws its strength from study and contemplation of monastic architectural traditions.

His pared-down, austere yet inventive artistry invites visitors to delve into the mystery of beauty and the mystery of the soul. It is also why Dom Bellot remains an unmatched master of the play of light.

Open to the public, with the possibility of meeting the nuns: the church, the cloister, the chapter house, and the garden (weather permitting).

At the end of the visit, Sunday vespers sung by the community at 6:30 p.m. on Saturdays and Sundays.

The bookshop will be exceptionally open on this occasion during the monastery's visiting hours.

Semi-buried, these ice houses were designed to keep natural ice for many months. Today, two survive, one of them having been turned into a chapel in the 19th century when doctors Voisin and Falret established a renowned health house on the estate. In 2024, the glacières were awarded the regional heritage label "Patrimoine d'intérêt régional" by the Île-de-France Region.
