The Heritage Days are the perfect opportunity to discover great cultural deals. This unmissable event arrives each year on the 3rd weekend of September. On this occasion, many venues—both public and private—join the party, inviting us in with a program of often free tours, unconventional activities, and exceptional openings. From must-see museums to hidden monuments, including churches, castles, ministries, embassies or even great institutions, Paris and Île-de-France come alive each year with a broad program that lets us explore the riches of our heritage in depth.
And the Hauts-de-Seine region is no exception. The department 92, tucked west of the capital, hops into the Heritage Days lineup with its own treasures, showcasing its historic and artistic gems. In the city of Issy-les-Moulineaux, the Domaine de la Reine Margot invites everyone to enjoy a special program for the 43rd edition scheduled for the weekend of September 20 and 21, 2025. Incidentally, the town also offers several guided tours of its monuments if you’d like to dig deeper into Issy-les-Moulineaux’s standout sites.
Guided Tours of Domaine Reine Margot
The Domaine Reine Margot recalls the presence of the renowned queen who, in 1606, became the first great aristocrat to establish a country residence in Issy. It has been redeveloped into a prestigious hotel complex by Jean-Michel Wilmotte, while preserving its listed components: a 17th-century building and a neo-Gothic chapel inaugurated in 1846.
