How about a mini trip? During these European Heritage Days, take a world tour by visiting the embassies and consulates that will open their doors to Parisians for free this weekend, September 19–20, 2026.

The Journées du Patrimoine, is a pan-European event that unfolds across 50 countries, on September 19 and 20, 2026. Fifty countries, and as many cultures and histories to discover freely, over a weekend. According to the Ministry of Culture, more than 50,000 monuments and sites are opened to the public each year!

This major cultural festival is an opportunity to familiarize yourself with European customs and artists. In theory, that is. In practice, of course, it's impossible to visit all these countries in just two days! Unless you live in Paris...

The French capital is indeed a formidable gateway to the world: with its many embassies, Paris lets us travel across the globe without leaving the city. Several embassies and consulates are opening their doors to us this weekend, September 19–20, inviting us to explore these unique venues.
