Tribute to Václav Havel
Open-house visit of the Czech Embassy’s reception rooms and garden in Paris.
On the occasion of the European Heritage Days, the Embassy of the Czech Republic in Paris will open its doors to the public on Saturday, September 19, 2026. Located just a short walk from the Eiffel Tower, it invites visitors to discover its opulent reception halls and its garden, typically closed to the public. This year, we offer a route in tribute to former Czech President Václav Havel.
An exhibition mounted on the Embassy fence will be dedicated to the journey of this extraordinary man.
The visit will also include a symbolic stop at the Václav Havel Bench, placed in front of the Embassy entrance – a contemporary design element that honors the humanist and democratic legacy of the former Czech president.
A panel discussion will round out the program (program details are being prepared).
