Among the flagship sites of this edition in Seine-Saint-Denis (93), the Pina Bausch Conservatory is one of the must‑see stops on the Montreuil portion of the itinerary.

Situated in the Croix de Chavaux district, this striking building, conceived and designed by architect Claude Le Goas between 1968 and 1976, earned immediate recognition for its bold metal architecture. A genuine technical feat, it is defined by its acoustically insulated steel cells, specially crafted to house music rooms. Following a major renovation, this unique music and dance school reopened its doors in October 2024.

• Montreuil's architectural heritage: the Pina Bausch Conservatory

  Architectural tour of Montreuil’s remarkable School of Music and Dance, built between 1968 and 1976 by architect Claude Le Goas at the heart of the Croix de Chavaux urban renewal.

  Awarded the prize for the finest metal-structure work on delivery, the conservatory stands as a distinctive achievement, blending typological and technological innovation.
