Line 14: a new Noctilien line is being studied to provide connections to Orly

For many months (and for some still), it is no secret that line 14 is closed very regularly, especially on weekday evenings (Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday, Thursday) from 10 pm. In addition, there are also whole days or weekends when the line does not operate, in order to carry out the work on its extension to Orly airport.

While the Île-de-France Region has promised that the extension of line 14 will be ready for the 2024 Olympic Games, the question now arises as to the night connections, in order to link Orly airport to the 13th arrondissement (Olympiades metro). So RATP is already thinking about creating a Noctilien line to ensure service, even at night.

On the program, the N37 line (provisional number) would be created in order to extend the line to the South, towards Orly Airport from Gare de Lyon. The line will therefore cause the N31 to be cut off at Pont de Rungis, so that the end of the line (to the airport) will be provided by the N37. Obviously, adaptations to the other lines in the area could be necessary, notably the N22, the N15 and the N71.

This is only a line project, for the moment no final decision has been taken to implement the line.
