Meteorologists will be keeping a close eye on the weather again this Tuesday, December 5, 2023. Due to the passage of a new disturbance, Météo France is warning of a new risk of heavy rain and flooding in some of France's northern departments. "From Hauts-de-France to Grand Est, rain is still present in the morning. In the afternoon, little change is to be expected, with a few more drops and flakes falling over the Vosges and the Jura above 500 to 700 meters", says Météo France in today's bulletin.
Also on Tuesday, Météo France placed 4 French departments under yellow alert due to a risk of heavy rain and flooding, includingAisne and Seine-Maritime.
In the Île-de-France region, two departments are affected by this yellow alert, Val-d'Oise and Seine-et-Marne. According to Météo France, these two departments could be affected by heavy rain and the risk of flooding this Tuesday morning, until around 10am. This forecast is valid until midnight December 6.
What's next in the weather forecast? The rain should stop this Tuesday afternoon, but the gloom is likely to persist. Showers are expected to return during the afternoon of Thursday, but only in the western part of the Paris region, and then more generally throughout the Paris region on Saturday afternoon. This trend is, of course, to be confirmed as the days go by, so stay tuned for more information on the weather ahead.
