If you're planning to take the RER E this Tuesday, February 18, 2025, be prepared. Following a technical incident between La Défense and Porte Maillot, traffic is currently disrupted between Haussmann Saint-Lazare station and Nanterre-La-Folie, the western terminus of the RER line.
This partial traffic disruption concerns both directions. Several stations are therefore not served, namely Nanterre-la-Folie, La Défense Grande Arche and Neuilly-Porte Maillot. Unfortunately for passengers, traffic is not expected to resume immediately. While a return to normal was expected around 4pm, SNCF Transilien now states that"no resumption is expected before the end of service".
Due to this partial traffic disruption, trains on the Chelles-Gournay and Tournan-en-Brie routes will be departing from and arriving at Haussmann Saint-Lazare. Trains on the Villiers-sur-Marne route depart from and arrive at Magenta.
In addition, traffic is " disrupted on the rest of the line ", says SNCF Transilien, inviting users to take alternative routes, such as the RER A or the Transilien L line.
This isn't the first time that disruptions have occurred on the RER E line. Since the inauguration of the extension last December, users have had to cope with a number of technical incidents and traffic interruptions.
