The Musée de la Poste opened its doors for the very first time on June 4, 1946, in the heart of theHôtel de Choiseul-Praslin, in the 6th arrondissement of Paris. The museum originally housed a collection of postage stamps. The museum moved to the Necker district, in the 15th arrondissement, in a brand-new, larger space built between 1969 and 1972. The inauguration took place a year later, in 1973, in the presence ofHubert Germain, Minister of the Post Office. The museum reopened in 2019, after several years of renovation.

Today, you'll discover the history of the Post Office, as well as major stamp collections. • Pass Culture - Participatory choreographed tour of the Marathon exhibition
    Saturday, May 18, 10:00 pm, 11:00 pm

Denis Plassard (dancer and choreographer) offers two choreographed tours of the exhibition "Marathon, la course du messager" (Marathon, the messenger's race). This offbeat, participatory tour allows visitors to discover the exhibition from an unusual angle. The tour unfolds to the rhythm of simple, precise instructions given by the dancer-guide. These encourage the public to experience certain aspects of the exhibition in concrete terms. The tour, which plays with the notion of a marathon, alternates between moments danced by the guide and "choreographed" movements by the public, in an accessible, joyful and playful way. A unique opportunity to discover the ritual of the messenger, how to speak with your feet or practice the motionless race.
    2 routes: 22h and 23h
    Duration: 45 minutes
