Museum Night 2024: dramatized tours at the Musée de la Résistance Nationale (94)

Get out your diaries, the countdown has begun: the Nuit des Musées is back for another edition, this Saturday, May 18, 2024. An edition that promises even more discoveries, visits, art and culture. There's no doubt about it, this year's event is sure to delight the curious and art-lovers alike!

This major cultural event invites us to visit the museums, large and small, of Paris and the Île-de-France region: it's a chance to admire the rich collections of these institutions, and, perhaps, to find an exciting new artistic spot close to home. While everyone knows about the Louvre, the Musée d'Orsay or the Centre Pompidou, only a few insiders know where the more confidential museums are located...

Did you know, for example, that there's a historical museum in Champigny-sur-Marne, France? The Musée de la Résistance Nationale tells the story of the French Resistance during the Nazi occupation. This place of art and memory houses several thousand objects linked to this period of the 20th century, in the form of photographs, art, archive documents, military and everyday objects, old underground newspapers... On the program for this Nuit des Musées 2024 at the Musée de la Résistance Nationale:

• Theatrical guided tours
  May 18, 2024 at 6 pm and 8:30 pm
  Two theatrical guided tours offer a captivating insight into the history of the Resistance, through stories told by talented actors from the Arts Gosses et Cie association. Combining art and history, this memorable and educational experience offers a fresh look at the men and women who fought to defend the values of France and freedom. The voices echoing through the museum's halls will tell the story of the diversity of forms taken by the Resistance between 1940 and 1945: solidarity, propaganda, intelligence, armed struggle and more.
