The Fête de la musique returns to Paris and the rest of France on June 21, 2025 ! This year, the popular and festive event falls on a Saturday. So you can look forward to a great long evening of music all weekend long!
A quick reminder: the country's first Fête de la Musique was held in 1982. The event was the brainchild of Jack Lang, then Minister of Culture, Maurice Fleuret and Christian Dupavillon, architect-scenographer and cabinet member. Their idea? To launch a major popular event enabling all musicians to play and make a name for themselves during a festive evening.
More than 40 years after its launch, the event is still as popular as ever! Every June 21, budding musicians and singers take to the streets to bring live music to life. On this day, all styles are given pride of place: rock, rap, electro, classical, zouk, funk, metal or even French variety, blues and jazz...
The music resonates throughout Paris during the Fête de la Musique, as it does in the 13th arrondissement. A well-known district for street art lovers, the 13th is also home to the famous Chinatown. And for this year's Fête de la Musique, the Chinatown Paris association is joining forces with the Tiger Bomb project and the arrondissement town hall to bring you a Block Party.
Not to be missed at the Parc de Choisy on Saturday, June 21, 2025, from 3pm to 11pm, the event will feature concerts and DJ sets by a dozen artists, a young talent showcase and Asian food stalls.
