Fête de la Musique 2025 in Cachan (94) with Amazones d'Afrique and Billet d'humeur

Good news for our musician friends, as the Fête de la musique returns on Saturday, June 21, 2025 all over France, with a new edition as festive as ever! With its rich and eclectic program, the Fête de la Musique is an opportunity for budding musicians to share their passion with as many people as possible on a unique and festive day. All genres are honored. Whether you like rock, rap, electro, world music or classical music... you're sure to find what you're looking for!

As a reminder, the Fête de la Musique was created in 1982 on the initiative of the French Ministry of Culture. That year, the Ministry of Culture's studies and research department conducted a major survey of French cultural practices. It revealed that five million people, including one young person in two, play a musical instrument. So Jack Lang, architect and scenographer Christian Dupavillon, a member of his Cabinet, and Maurice Fleuret came up with the idea of a major popular event to enable all musicians to express themselves and make themselves known. The very first Fête de la Musique was launched on June 21, 1982, the symbolic day of the summer solstice.

If you're planning to celebrate in the Val-de-Marne, head for the town of Cachan, which is once again offering a rich and varied program. In fact, this year, the town of Cachan celebrates music from June 10 to 2025, culminating in a major free concert scheduled for Friday June 20 at 7.30pm on the Parc Raspail stage. Having welcomed Cats on Trees, Uzi Freyja, Vendredi sur Mer, Catherine Ringer, Jeanne Added, Miossec, Youssoupha, Yuri Buenaventura, Les Fatals Picards and Anaïs in previous years, who has the honor of bringing the Fête de la musique 2025 to Cachan? Well, on June 20, the Malian supergroup Les Amazones d'Afrique, rap group Billet d'humeur, singer and composer Bilel Tacchini and artist Cynthia Léone will be performing.

Fête de la musique 2025 in Cachan, the program

From June 10 to 20, Cachan will be showcasing its amateur bands. Amateur groups will be performing all over town. The program includes (but is not limited to)

• New Jem choir (world songs) on Tuesday June 10, 2025 at 7:30pm, at the Orangerie ;
• Crescen'DO choir (French variety) on Tuesday, June 17, 2025 at 6:30 pm, Parc Raspail;
• open stage for local talent, followed by a musical show entitled "Beatless Bande" by the association l'Enjeu collectif (French chanson - hybrid, trans-disciplinary, musical, theatrical show) on Wednesday June 18, 2025 at 6pm at the Toni Morrison media library;
• guitar masterclass as part of the "rencontres de la guitare classique" series on Wednesday June 18, 2025 at 1pm at the Conservatoire à rayonnement départemental (CRD) de Cachan;
• Free concert by 75 musicians from the Arcueil, Cachan, Fresnes, Hay-les-roses and Kremlin-Bicêtre conservatories on Wednesday, June 18, 2025 at 8pm at the Théâtre Jacques Carat;
• Concert by the Edim amateur workshops and Malick Diaw (contemporary music, jazz, Senegalese world music) on Thursday June 19, 2025 at 7pm at the Cousté socio-cultural center.

Friday, June 20, 2025 from 7:30 pm to 11:00 pm, free music festival concert in Parc Raspail (free admission, no registration required).

• Les Amazones d'Afrique
  Les Amazones d'Afrique is a Malian contemporary world music supergroup. It was formed in 2015 with Kandia Kouyaté, Angélique Kidjo, Mamani Keita, Rokia Koné, Mariam Doumbia, Nneka, Mariam Koné, Massan Coulibaly, Madina N'Diaye, Madiaré Dramé, Mouneissa Tandina and Pamela Badjogo.
  
  
• Billet d'humeur
  A rap and hip-hop group who have already played at Parisian venues Le Bataclan and L'Alhambra, and who also took part in the last Festival de Marne, opening for MC Solaar.
  
  
• Bilel Tacchini
  Bilel Tacchini is a singer and songwriter, responsible for numerous titles and collaborations, including " Takhiach ou euro " with Houssem Magic (2019), " Swalhi Ga3 3andi " (2021), and " Ya Lbahri " (2022).
  
  
• Cynthia Léone
  Cynthia Leone is an indie pop artist with urban influences, whose music resonates with the voices of her generation.
