In celebration of Night of Brightness 2022, the CNES Space Observatory, located in the 1st arrondissement of Paris, invites us to experience an exceptional artistic event. On October 1, 2022, starting at 1 p.m. and running until 1 a.m., immerse yourself in a fascinating exhibition called "Dépaysement." This show encourages visitors to embark on an unconventional artistic journey exploring the history of the Toulouse Space Center’s creation in the 1960s, inviting curiosity and discovery at every turn.

This is not the first time this observatory has participated in Nuit Blanche. Since the 2000s, outside of the event itself, it has been offering a unique perspective on the cosmos through culture, aiming to "bring to light knowledge and creative expressions related to outer space." Essentially a cultural laboratory, its mission is to make space more accessible to the public through artistic representations and collective imagination. Nuit Blanche provides the perfect opportunity for them to share their insights in a truly innovative way!
As for this year's Nuit Blanche, it's a special anniversary edition, celebrating two decades of the event. Over 200 artistic happenings are scheduled across Paris and the Greater Paris Metropolis, with a first-ever extension to Rouen and Le Havre—partner cities along the Seine. This edition also centers around a distinctive theme: "The Garden of Delights", guided by artistic director Kitty Hartl.
And the perfect opportunity to explore this vibrant hub of scientific culture—completely free of charge!
