Among the participants in this year's Nuit Blanche is Cirque Electrique! This flagship venue in Paris's 20th arrondissement offers a year-round program that is, to say the least, electrifying. And with good reason: this art house circus is halfway between tradition and modernity, with a more urban approach to the circus world. So it's no surprise that this surprising venue is planning to make quite a splash at the Nuit Blanche!

Cirque Électrique continues to develop an unusual, one-of-a-kind artistic and cultural project, blending creation, multidisciplinary programming, and running a circus school. It has forged a distinctive artistic identity, stitched together from a mosaic of references and influences, sitting at the crossroads of a mythic circus tradition and the reality of radical, modern urban culture.
On Nuit Blanche, Cirque Électrique will unveil the Mondrian rig, a monumental sculptural structure built for its forthcoming work Rever-se. This 6-by-6-meter open square draws inspiration from a previously unknown slide series discovered by chance on a Parisian vacant lot. From this frozen image springs a desire to set it in motion—lit, musical, and dreamlike—phantasmagoria of the circus. Surrounding this 21st-century fairground ride, a range of circus, sound, and visual performances will be staged across Cirque Électrique’s various spaces.
