    Video, Installation
Vague Verte is an immersive video installation built from layering multiple images of trees swaying in the wind. This process creates a continuous visual flow, like a cascading belt of vegetation, where forms appear and dissolve gradually. The image teeters between depiction and abstraction, inviting the eye to wander without a stable focal point.
The project grew from an inquiry into the relationships between interior and exterior, as well as between natural and constructed spaces. By bringing a shifting landscape inside an exhibition space, the installation aims to blur perceptual boundaries and unsettled habitual spatial cues.
On the occasion of its presentation at the Académie du Climat, the work engages with the challenges surrounding our relationship to the environments we inhabit, offering a sensitive rather than descriptive approach.
The work was created during a research and creation residency at the Abbaye de Fontfroide in Narbonne in 2022, in partnership with MO.CO Montpellier Contemporain. In the recent context of wildfires that have marked the Occitanie region, the installation can now be read with an additional layer of landscape reading at play.
Presented in varied contexts — notably in the chapel of the Abbaye de Fontfroide, in a derelict space as part of Lille 3000, and through a glass storefront facing the public space as part of SOL !, the third Montpellier territory biennial — the installation adapts to each site, adjusting to its conditions to offer a singular immersive experience.
With the support of the Académie du Climat, Rencontres Audiovisuelles, the Abbaye de Fontfroide, and MO.CO Montpellier Contemporains.
