Regulars in the 11th arrondissement know the Gymnase Japy as a hub for sport and training, home to the many clubs and associations that keep us active and in shape. But this Saturday, June 6, 2026, the gym will shed that identity: goodbye boxing, basketball, and badminton, and hello contemporary art!
The Japy gymnasium is taking part in Nuit Blanche, the all-night arts festival, this first weekend of June. For this 25th edition, there’s an otherworldly installation that whisks us away to unexpected, magical artistic realms.
For years now, Nuit Blanche has kept Paris and its surroundings buzzing, thanks to its myriad events and a roster of contemporary artists who reshape the city and its façades. From dusk until the early hours, concerts, exhibitions, installations, live performances and other surprises invite us to experience, enjoy, and discover the leading names in the contemporary art scene.
