Are you familiar with Plato’s Allegory of the Cave? It tells the story of people who see only shadows and mistake them for reality. When one of them finally looks beyond, she discovers that the shadows are mere illusions and that reality is far richer and more complex. But when she returns to share her discovery, the others don’t believe her and refuse to see the truth. The animated short Science as a Pillar of Trust (La science, pilier de la confiance) by the Slovak duo Ové Pictures reimagines this classic tale for our times, highlighting a world where misinformation, half-truths, and outright lies spread at runaway speed. It argues that, even today, cultivating critical thinking, fact-checking, and the defense of truth is essential. On the journey from illusion to knowledge, science stands as a pillar that equips us to separate reality from fiction and to explore reality with our eyes wide open. At the same time, it poses a challenge: how not to be fooled by the shadows, and how to find the courage to seek out and embrace the truth?
Film screening of the animated feature until midnight.
DJ YAME (UA) lights up dance floors around the world with infectious electro-pop, synth-dance, and indie disco grooves. His music carries a sunny spirit and a message of peace and love. His work blends atmospheric depth with powerful melodic compositions and a contagious energy that keeps the dance floor moving, delivering a refined, cosmic indie-dance aesthetic with a strong emotional resonance.
DJ Hofsan (FR) — Fueled by radiant, communicative energy and inspired by Latin and tribal influences, his sets are rhythmic, warm, and unifying, often closing with soaring trance textures tinted by nostalgia.
    DJ set until 11:30 PM.
    Curated by Zuzana Pacáková.
With the support of the Slovak Institute in Paris, Europavox.
