Come and discover eleven talented artists who have worked tirelessly to offer you a disconcerting plunge into their world. The Night of the White Night in Paris takes place on June 3, 2023... But above all, it’s an unmissable event! A whole night dedicated to artistic discoveries that brings the City of Light to life. Every year, artists and cultural institutions open their doors to eager audiences free of charge. It’s a magical occasion to explore and rediscover the vibrant cultural landscape of Paris and its surrounding region.

Le Samovar in Bagnolet is more than just a theater—it's a cornerstone of clowning art. Here, the tradition of the clown is continuously reshaped, reimagined, and celebrated. Le Samovar stands as a school, a theater, and an artist residency, nurturing and shaping extraordinary talent since its founding in 1988. This year, for Nuit Blanche, Le Samovar opens its doors wide to share its passion, stories, and love for live performance with visitors.

A Night of White that promises to be nothing short of enchanting and whimsical, featuring eleven artists who are ready to unveil their worlds after a month and a half dedicated to crafting their acts. This ongoing "creative cycle" offers a truly unique and captivating journey into the distinctive universe of these clowns.

Among the acts featured, you'll find Max Behrendt, whose clown must find someone willing to journey into the beyond with a message of love — all in a solo performance divided into three acts. Anne Billiet invites us to follow Galinette’s voyage of self-discovery, navigating the delicate balance between sharing and solitude. Meanwhile, Emeric Brillant will explore the theme of love through the journey of a clown desperately seeking to hear a heartfelt declaration. Each performer promises a singular clowning experience — sometimes absurd, always touching.

But the Nuit Blanche at the Samovar isn’t over yet: Istvan Van Heuverzwyn will continue his project "The Incredible Adventure of King Emir and Trombine Royale", delving into themes of loneliness and power dynamics. Hélène Prattico will explore the complex relationship with motherhood and others, offering an installment that promises to be both humorous and thought-provoking. Finally, Aline Ladeira will showcase a series of wild portraits that challenge gender roles and heteropatriarchal romantic imaginaries.
