Every year, Nuit Blanche transforms the capital into a huge artistic playground, free and open to all. This Saturday, June 7, 2025, Paris lights up once again with contemporary installations in sometimes unexpected locations. At the Gymnase de la Bidassoa, in the 20th arrondissement, visitors can discover ORBE, a monumental immersive work imagined by architect and artist Kiran Lorette, aka Ranki_B3at. A 7-meter-diameter luminous sphere will serve as the beating heart of this installation, combining laser projections, lighting and sound creations to redesign urban space for one night.
A former sports facility in the Belleville district, the Gymnase de la Bidassoa is transformed for the event into a space for contemplation and experimentation. This artistic reinterpretation of its architecture is in keeping with the work of Ranki_B3at, founder of the Oftrak Architectes studio and the B3AT collective, and an active member of Microclimat. For the past twenty years, he has been exploring the links between city, light and music. With ORBE, he joins forces with live artists Kinker, Modgeist and Mr Smiff, as well as digital artistIcecream, to fuse lasers, sounds and images in a large-scale immersive work.
As far as the experience is concerned, you shouldn't be disappointed at Nuit Blanche 2025... This unique audiovisual device promises a vibrant experience, somewhere between dream and sensory perception. Adapted to the scale of the gymnasium, the installation breathes new life into the space through the power of light, sound and collective creation.
