In March, April and May, embark on unprecedented cruises, on the various Parisian canals, to discover from the water, the future Olympic venues and the many facilities built to welcome the whole world to our capital, from July 2024.

Before tourist cruises are restricted this summer, for the smooth running of the Paris 2024 Olympic and Paralympic Games, Seine-Saint-Denis Tourisme, the tourism development agency for Seine-Saint-Denis, is offering you the chance to climb aboard one of its water-based tours, to discover what transformations have been carried out in the area ahead of hosting the world's biggest sporting event.

So, from Saturday, March 23, 2024 and once a month in April and May, Tristan Bayle (guide-conférencier) will guide you along the various rivers and canals of Paris: the Ourcq canal, from the Parc de la Villette to the Stade de France, the Seine, atÎle-Saint-Denis, the Saint-Denis canal... Over the course of two hours, you'll discover the athletes' village, located in the communes of Saint-Denis, Île-Saint-Denis and Saint-Ouen-sur-Seine, the Parc de la Villette, the Bassin de la Maltournée, the Stade de France, the future Olympic aquatic center... Or the Street Art Avenue on the Saint-Denis canal, with its large, colorful frescoes.

Join us on Saturday March 23, April 20 and May 18, 2024 for one of these Olympic cruises, accessible to all (aged 8 and over) and bookable on theExplore Paris website. Tickets cost €12 per adult and €9 per child aged 8 to 12, with special rates for Plaine Commune residents and La Villette subscribers. Come on, let's weigh anchor and head for the canals and rivers of Paris to discover how the Paris Olympics have transformed our territories north of the capital.

Our opinion:

We boarded the cruise around the Ile de Saint-Denis. For two hours, we discovered this little-known area of Seine-Saint-Denis, from Epinay-sur-Seine to Saint-Ouen, via Ile aux Vannes, Gennevilliers, Villeneuve-la-Garenne and more. And above all, you'll go back in time to discover the past of this unique island, a former fishing village and the only island in Seine-Saint-Denis. It's a lovely, unusual walk, where you can learn a lot about this branch of the Seine, which is far less touristy than central Paris, but just as rich in culture and green spaces.
