Formerly known as Neuilly Plage, the event has now become Neuilly l'été: so, in July and August, it's on the banks of the Marne and in the 33-hectare park that Nocéens (residents of Neuilly-sur-Marne, editor's note) and all those who wish to do so, have a rendezvous for the summer season.
What's on the program? Try out new sporting disciplines, enjoy open-air screenings, concerts and shows for the whole family, starting on July 14, when Neuilly l'été opens with a fireworks display to celebrate the Fête Nationale. In July, head to Place Stalingrad from July 14 to 27, then in August to the 33-hectare park (also known as Parc du Crescent Vert), where summer activities resume from July 28 to August 10.
Since the advent of Paris Plages a few years ago, many towns and cities in the Paris region now offer a summer program that's free and accessible to all, to break the rhythm of the daily metroschool (or work)-sleep routine that we adopt all the rest of the year. From swimming spots and water sports centers where you can hire pedalos, kayaks and jet skis, to inflatable playground installationsand the opening of ephemeral guinguettes, summer is in full swing in Paris and the Île-de-France region, where you can enjoy the activities of Paris Plages,Eté du Canal, Noisy Plage and Neuilly l'été. No matter where you're staying (if you're just passing through Paris) or where you live: summer will be festive and lively in the region!
