A Mediterranean institution for 40 years, the Mavrommatis house offers you the chance to spend Valentine's Day 2021 under the Greek sun - at least in the plates!
To mark the occasion, chef Andréas Mavrommatis and his team at the Michelin-starred gourmet restaurant Le Mavrommatis have concocted the "Aphrodite Menu", available in 3, 4 and 6 courses, for delivery and click & collect from February 11 to 14.
To start, the "Cupid" cocktail goes perfectly with the amuse-bouche: Tarama, heart of smoked salmon, radish, Avruga caviar, pommes d'amour with foie gras, commendaria, red fruits and crab aumônière, lobster bisque with ginger and lemon grass.
For starters, enjoy Mavrommatis Greek Oscietra caviar with roasted cauliflower, labne and coriander, and truffle with a raviole of old-fashioned vegetables, broth flavored with Tentura liqueur, grated truffle. Then, let yourself be tempted by pan-fried scallops with Sichuan berries, artichoke à la Constantinople, Jerusalem artichoke condiment, iodized champagne sauce. Challans duck with cinnamon beet gnocchi, ginger/lemongrass carrots, stiphado juice with Petimezi vinegar, will satisfy every palate.
To round off this culinary voyage, a Saganaki with truffles (crisp Kefalograviera yellow cheese), with lamb's lettuce and, for dessert, a heart to share with passion fruit, coconut and vanilla.
