Emperor Napoleon exchanged a passionate correspondence with his wife Josephine. For Valentine's Day 2023, the Château de Malmaison invites you to listen to a reading of these love letters. Join us on February 15, 2023 in the château's music salon.

This Wednesday, come and enjoy a show like no other, at the Château de Malmaison. Celebrate love and Valentine's Day by listening to the intimate stories of the great figures of French history. Artist and researcher Marcus Borja brings to life the passion between Napoleon I and Josephine, with a dramatized reading of the letters exchanged between the emperor and his wife.

This extensive correspondence reveals thelove the two sovereigns had for each other, as evidenced by this sentence from one of Napoleon's letters: "Aren 't you the soul of my life and the feeling of my heart?
