Leaving for Russia and coming to one of the most beautiful theaters in the world to attend the most incredible ballets… A dream? That can come true this Sunday! But virtually… Because, this Sunday February 4, 2018, 18 cinemas in the Parisian region will broadcast an exceptional pickup of the Lady of the Camellias, live from Moscow.
Lasting a bit more than 3 hours, the ballet has been created with the music by French composer Frédéric Chopin, inspired by Alexandre Dumas fils’ tragic and cult text. The choreography is of the great John Neumeier and here’s the casting: Svetlana Zakharova (Marguerite Gautier), Edvin Revazov (Armand Duval), Anna Tikhomirova (Manon Lescaut), Semyon Chudin (Des Grieux), Kristina Kretova (Prudence Duvernoy), Mikhail Lobukhin (Gaston Rieux), Anna Antropova (Nanina), Andrei Merkuriev (Monsieur Duval), Daria Khokhlova (Olympia).
What about the story? “Freshly arrived in society Paris, the young and naïve Armand meets the unapproachable and gorgeous courtesan Marguerite Gautier. From their meeting results a passionate love but with a doomed fate…”
