Warner Bros. Discovery recently announced the start of filming for La Mythomane du Bataclan, its first French original series Max Original, for its upcoming streaming platform. The four-episode, 52-minute psychological thriller is produced by StudioFact Stories in collaboration with June Films.
Director Just Philippot(La Nuée, Acide) is at the helm of the series, which has a script by Fanny Burdino, Jean-Baptiste Delafon, Samuel Doux and Alexandre Kauffmann. The fiction is freely adapted from the book La Mythomane du Bataclan by Alexandre Kauffmann, published by Goutte d'Or.
The actress Laure Calamy (Dix pour cent, Antoinette dans les Cévennes, Les Cyclades, A plein temps) plays the main role in the series. The story, inspired by real events, takes place on the night of November 13, 2015. Christelle, like the rest of the country, is in shock. The next day, she makes contact online with several direct or collateral victims and becomes the cornerstone of an association of victims in formation. However, she lives a lie.
