With nearly 85 million copies of the manga sold worldwide, six seasons of ultra-popular anime and three films already adapted from the license, "My Hero Academia" is the talk of the town. This interest has been rekindled with a fourth film adaptation, announced in Japan by a first visual.

The great heir to Naruto, the My Hero Academia manga has enjoyed phenomenal success since it was first published in 2014 (2016 in France). 85 million copies of the manga have been sold worldwide, and there are numerous spin-off products and works. These include three feature films, released in cinemas, Two Heroes (2017), Heroes Rising (2019) and World Heroes' Mission (2020). In 2023, a fourth My Hero Academia film is making news. A video has just been released in Japan, showing a first visual, with no release date yet.

All we know at present is that this new film, unlike the previous ones, will be entirely supervised by Kohei Horikoshi, the author of the manga. What's more, the script is set to run parallel to the heroes' war against Tomura arc (volumes 27 to 33), i.e. season 6 of the anime. It's also worth noting that the film is due to be released a few months before season 7, and could serve as a link between the two seasons.

We'll be sure to keep you posted on any news concerning this film.
