In 2024, the ADN anime platform becomes partially free. For series available as simulcasts, each new episode will be free within seven days of its release.

One Piece, Detective Conan and many other anime are available as simulcasts on the ADN streaming platform, meaning that new episodes are released one hour after their broadcast in Japan. In 2024, ADN is making this simulcast partially free. For all series, the first episode is free, but for the simulcast, each new episode is free for seven days after it goes online. After that, you'll need to subscribe to the platform to enjoy the content.

A godsend for manga and anime fans. You'll be able to discover the season's new releases without paying a cent. And at a time when most traditional streaming platforms are raising their prices(Netflix and Disney+ in particular), the initiative may well be welcomed, especially as the popularity of anime is growing.
