After winning the hearts of young and old alike in three memorable episodes, Po is back in Kung Fu Panda 4, an animated adventure directed by Mike Mitchell (V ) and Stephanie Stine. Expected in cinemas on March 27, 2024, this new opus promises to blend adventure, animation, comedy, family and martial arts in a captivating, humor-filled story.
In this fourth installment, Po, the much-admired dragon warrior, is confronted with an unprecedented situation. After triumphing over his most formidable adversaries, fate offers him a break... By appointing him spiritual leader of the Valley of Peace. However, this new responsibility is not without its challenges for Po, who finds himself obliged to find and train a new dragon warrior in order to devote himself fully to his role. Further complicating matters is the appearance of a new threat, the Chameleone, a witch capable of metamorphosis. In search of Po's staff of wisdom, she wishes to reinvoke the forces of evil vanquished by our hero.
To save the Valley of Peace, Po joins forces with Zhen, a Corsican vixen with a strong character, whose talents will be decisive in their quest. Together, they must overcome their differences to confront the Chameleone and discover that true heroes can sometimes surprise.
Kung Fu Panda 4 is a story about personal development, the importance of friendship and discovering the true essence of leadership. With its endearing characters, characteristic humor and breathtaking martial arts scenes, this film is destined to become a new classic for fans of the series and newcomers alike. This animated family film, which promises laughter, emotion and plenty of action, is scheduled for release on March 27, 2024.
Our verdict:
Just like the previous instalments, the fourth adventure of Po, the clumsy panda turned legendary dragon warrior, lives up to its promise: a great villain, the Chameleone, who far surpasses all the other villains faced in the previous films, magnificent landscapes in the heart of traditional China, all sprinkled with a touch of philosophy and courage. While the 5 Cyclones (Tigress, Mint, Monkey and Crane, Po's usual traveling companions) are usually present in the panda's adventures, this time it's Zhen, a little vixen, who becomes Po's partner. In short, Kung Fu Panda 4 is an animated film to be enjoyed by the whole family, with children and teenagers alike, as long as you have a basic knowledge of the saga! Finally, as Po would say, "you don't know what you can do until you've done it".
