The trailer for Ant-Man and The Wasp: Quantumania

This new opus in the Marvel Cinematic Universe plunges viewers into the quantum world, a subatomic universe populated by strange creatures and unpredictable threats. The balance between humor, spectacle and emotion remains at the heart of the film, faithful to the spirit of previous installments in the saga.

Where and when can you see Ant-Man and The Wasp: Quantumania?

Ant-Man and The Wasp: Quantumania will be broadcast on TF1 on Sunday, October 19, 2025 at 9:10pm.

Synopsis: Scott Lang (Paul Rudd) and Hope van Dyne (Evangeline Lilly) lead a balanced life between their roles as superheroes and their everyday family life. But a poorly controlled scientific experiment propels the whole clan - including Janet (Michelle Pfeiffer), Hank (Michael Douglas) and Cassie (Kathryn Newton) - into the quantum world. There, they discover unknown civilizations, formidable threats and a new enemy: Kang the Conqueror.

A plunge into the quantum world

In Ant-Man and The Wasp: Quantumania, the subatomic universe becomes an adventure playground in its own right. Director Peyton Reed uses spectacular sets and immersive special effects to explore the mysteries of time and matter. This installment ushers in a new phase of the MCU, while deepening the family relationships between the main characters.

An iconic Marvel cast

The film reunites Paul Rudd, Evangeline Lilly, Michael Douglas and Michelle Pfeiffer, while Kathryn Newton plays a more mature Cassie Lang. Jonathan Majors plays a menacing Kang the Conqueror, foreshadowing the great storylines to come in the Marvel universe. Together, they form a solid cast for a spectacular family adventure.

An adventure for fans of science fiction and superheroes

Between quantum exploration, family comedy and multiverse issues, Ant-Man and The Wasp: Quantumania will appeal to fans of science-fiction and action films. Audiences who enjoyed Doctor Strange or Guardians of the Galaxy will rediscover the spirit of adventure and humor typical of the Marvel universe.

Ant-Man and The Wasp: Quantumania in a nutshell

Released in 2023, this third installment of Scott Lang 's adventures continues the exploration of the quantum world begun in the previous films. With its themes of family, responsibility and scientific discovery, it stands out as a light-hearted, spectacular piece of entertainment for the general public. Its broadcast on TF1 will enable a wide audience to (re)discover this key episode of the MCU.

Our review of Ant-Man and The Wasp: Quantumania (2023):

Ant-Man makes a minor return to the MCU, but remains interesting, offering a solid and well-constructed film, visually rather beautiful, but suffering from numerous flaws. Starting with less well-crafted characters and less impactful heroes. Unfortunately, the film unfolds without much flavor, with rather bland characters, with the exception of Kang the Conqueror and Janet Van Dyne, played by Jonathan Majors and Michelle Pfiffer, who literally burst onto the screen. Special mention must also be made of Cassie Lang, played by Kathryn Newton, who brings something interesting to the character, and promises a fine development in future films. On the other hand, MODOK unfortunately fails to convince, unlike the character of Skylar, played by Bill Murray, who brings a little freshness to the film.

It's a film with no real stakes, too, and its storylines are a little too cookie-cutter, leaving no major plot surprises, except perhaps for the surprising ending, although the last five to ten minutes of the film are dispensable. The post-generic scenes, on the other hand, are worth sticking around to see through to the end.

A dispensable ending, to be sure, but one that offers a brief reflection on actions and their consequences. A bit of depth, unfortunately, humorously swept aside by Scott Lang, making the film fall flat on its face.

Visually, the film is quite beautiful, even promising some particularly thoughtful scenes on how to show the variations and simultaneities of time (cf. Schrödinger's Cat experiment, you'll understand when you see it...), and invites viewers not to miss a single crumb.

In short, Ant-Man and The Wasp: Quantumania will undoubtedly appeal to MCU fans, but it's still worth a look for its graphic quality and familiar humor. All you have to do is make up your own mind!
