On Thursday April 10, Thierry Frémaux and Iris Knobloch held their long-awaited press conference to unveil the vast majority of the official selection for the 2025 Cannes Film Festival. This was an opportunity to discover in detail the films in the running for the Palme d'Or 2025, the films in the midnight screenings, the previews, and also the films in the Un Certain Regard selection for this 78th edition.
Un Certain Regard is the prestigious official selection that showcases contemporary, young, international cinema in the throes of formal research. Among the works selected this year is Neeraj Ghaywan 's Homebound.
After his debut film Masaan, presented in the Un Certain Regard section in 2015 and winner of the FIPRESCI award on the Croisette the same year, the Indian filmmaker is back with a second, very mysterious work, for which neither the synopsis nor the release date have yet filtered through. A little more patience, then, as more revelations are yet to come.
Homebound will be unveiled at the Cannes Film Festival 2025. The release date in French cinemas is not yet known.
Synopsis: The synopsis of this film is not yet known.
