Spider-Noir: Prime Video unveils the first poster for the Marvel series

Prime Video has unveiled the first official poster for Spider-Noir, its highly anticipated new live-action series based on the Marvel comic Spider-Man Noir. Fans of superheroes and darker tales have reason to get excited, as the series is set to premiere on May 27, 2026 worldwide on Prime Video, following an initial release on the American channel MGM+. The project marks Marvel's latest foray into more mature storytelling, inspired by classic film noir aesthetics.

Created by Oren Uziel and Steve Lightfoot, who also serve as co-showrunners, the series benefits from the direct involvement of the Oscar-winning team behind Spider-Man: Into the Spider-Verse, with Phil Lord, Christopher Miller, and Amy Pascal serving as executive producers. The story is set in 1930s New York. Ben Reilly, a weathered and disillusioned private detective, struggles to get by in a city plagued by corruption and violence. The series also stands out thanks to a bold artistic choice: Spider-Noir will be available in both black and white and , giving viewers the freedom to select the visual experience that best matches the genre's aesthetic. The lead role is played by Oscar-winning actor Nicolas Cage, who takes on the character of Ben Reilly. He is supported by an international cast featuring Lamorne Morris, Li Jun Li, Karen Rodriguez, Abraham Popoola, Jack Huston, and Brendan Gleeson. Several guest stars also make appearances in this universe, including Lukas Haas, Cameron Britton, Amanda Schull, and Andrew Robinson.

The first two episodes are directed by Harry Bradbeer, an Emmy Award-winning filmmaker known for Fleabag and Killing Eve. His style is described as highly stylized, emphasizing bold contrasts, shadow play, and a persistent psychological tension that perfectly captures the character’s universe.
