Prime Video has unveiled the first official poster for Spider-Noir, its upcoming live-action series based on the Marvel comic Spider-Man Noir. Highly anticipated by fans of superheroes and dark, gritty stories, the series is set to premiere in 2026 on Prime Video worldwide, following an initial debut on the American network MGM+. This project represents Marvel’s latest venture into a more mature genre, drawing inspiration from classic film noir storytelling.
Created by Oren Uziel and Steve Lightfoot, who also serve as co-showrunners, the series benefits from the direct involvement of the Oscar-winning team behind Spider-Man: Into the Spider-Verse, with Phil Lord, Christopher Miller, and Amy Pascal serving as executive producers. Spider-Noir offers an alternative take on the Spider-Man myth, diverging from the usual conventions of the genre.
The story is set in 1930s New York. Ben Reilly, a weathered and disillusioned private detective, struggles to get by in a city plagued by corruption and violence. Forced to confront his past, he faces the legacy he left behind as the city's only superhero, navigating a world where the line between justice and revenge is often blurred.
Amidst criminal investigations, personal traumas, and ominous figures lurking in the shadows, Spider-Noir crafts a narrative focused on downfall, guilt, and redemption. Far from the vibrant spectacle of conventional adaptations, the series embraces a dark, introspective atmosphere rooted directly in film noir traditions.

The lead role is played by Oscar-winning actor Nicolas Cage, who takes on the character of Ben Reilly. He is supported by an international cast featuring Lamorne Morris, Li Jun Li, Karen Rodriguez, Abraham Popoola, Jack Huston, and Brendan Gleeson. Several guest stars also make appearances in this universe, including Lukas Haas, Cameron Britton, Amanda Schull, and Andrew Robinson.
The first two episodes are directed by Harry Bradbeer, an Emmy Award-winning filmmaker known for Fleabag and Killing Eve. His style is described as highly stylized, emphasizing bold contrasts, shadow play, and a persistent psychological tension that perfectly captures the character’s universe.
