By 2026, Metropolitan Films and its label HK Films will continue to manage the Golden Princess catalogue, a renowned Hong Kong production and distribution company known for its influential lineup of Hong Kong films. With over a hundred iconic titles, this collection remains a cornerstone of HK cinema history.
If you're a fan of Hong Kong cinema, you're undoubtedly familiar with the HK Video label, which famously released DVD collections of all the classics by John Woo, Tsui Hark, and many other legendary figures of HK filmmaking.
Since 2025 in France, many of these treasured classics, originally released on DVD, are now making a comeback on the big screen in restored, high-quality versions thanks to recent remastering efforts.
Following the re-releases of A Toute Épreuve, The Killer or the Chinese Ghost Stories Trilogy, it's One Shot, One Kill that kicks off the lineup in 2026, starting February 4th.
