Already alongside Jack Reacher in the series adapted from Lee Child's novels, Frances Neagley steps into the lead this time. A former investigator with the 110e unit of the U.S. Army, she now works as a private detective in Chicago.
When a loved one is found dead in what looks like an accident, Neagley refuses to buy the official line. Her investigation leads her to a trail pointing to a particularly dangerous organization, as she relies on the investigative instincts and battle-tested methods she learned alongside Jack Reacher.
The cast brings together Maria Sten in the lead, flanked by Greyston Holt, Adeline Rudolph, Jasper Jones, Matthew Del Negro and Damon Herriman. Alan Ritchson, who plays Jack Reacher, will also make a guest appearance, serving as the link between the two series.
The series is created by Nick Santora, already the showrunner of Reacher, and Nicholas Wootton. The two executive producers continue to expand the universe imagined by Lee Child, while giving Frances Neagley her own standalone arc.
Prime Video also unveiled its release schedule: season 4 of Reacher will kick off on August 12, 2026 with three episodes, followed by a weekly rollout through September 16. Neagley will immediately take over, with the entirety of its first season available the same day.
First look at Neagley
The initial visuals spotlight a heroine more solitary than in Reacher, facing a criminal investigation that forces her to reconnect with her military past. They signal a series that preserves the hallmarks of Reacher's action-thriller while adopting a viewpoint centered on an investigator accustomed to working alone.
Neagley speaks directly to fans of Reacher, but also to viewers who relish police thrillers where the investigation advances as much through on-the-job grind as through action sequences. By finally giving Frances Neagley her own sandbox, Prime Video is aiming to extend a franchise that has become one of its most popular offerings.
