The Re-Married Empress, the new fantasy K-drama adapted from NAVER’s hit webtoon, will arrive in France starting November 4, 2026 on Disney+. The ten-episode series brings together Shin Mina, Ju Jihoon, Lee Jongsuk, and Lee Seyoung in a story of political marriage, betrayal, and inter‑kingdom rivalry.
Navier presides over the Eastern Empire alongside her husband, Emperor Sovieshu. Their marriage frays when he falls for Rashta, a fugitive former slave, and seeks to keep her by his side. Facing a challenge to her standing, Navier refuses to relinquish her future and agrees to divorce on one unexpected condition: she will be granted the right to wed Heinrey, the crown prince of the Western rival kingdom.
This decision throws the empress into the thick of a tense, intimate-political showdown. With Sovieshu’s ambitions, Rashta’s arrival at court, and Heinrey’s murky intentions, Navier must reclaim her own destiny while safeguarding the stability of her kingdom.
Shin Mina, known for Hometown Cha-Cha-Cha and Karma, portrays Empress Navier. Ju Jihoon, recently starring in Light Shop and The Trauma Code: Heroes on Call, plays Emperor Sovieshu. Lee Jongsuk takes on the role of Prince Heinrey, while Lee Seyoung portrays Rashta.
The series brings to the screen a webtoon that, according to Disney+, has almost three billion views worldwide. Its plot hinges less on reclaiming a lost love than on how Navier fights to preserve her autonomy in a system where marriages are used to serve the interests of those in power.
The adaptation was penned by Yeoh Geena and Hyun Choongyeol. The directing duties have been entrusted to Cho Suwon, who also directed Pinocchio and Still 17.
The first four episodes will drop on November 4, 2026. Disney+ will then release two additional episodes every Wednesday, with a finale scheduled for November 25, 2026.
