Season 2 of The Eminence in Shadow is now available on Disney+ as of October 1, 2026. It completes the first season of this anime that blends action, fantasy and comedy, centering on a hero who dreams of operating in the shadows.
After a freak accident ends his life, Cid Kagenou is reborn in a fantastical world where he forms Shadow Garden, a secret organization tasked with taking on the Cult of Diabolos. What begins as a game in his mind soon takes on a far more real dimension.
This second season drags Cid into the Lawless City, a territory where streets are under siege by ghouls and multiple powers are locked in conflict. The narrative continues to trace the gap between how Cid envisions his interventions and the very real consequences of his decisions.
Seiichiro Yamashita lends his Japanese voice to Cid. The voice cast also features Rina Hidaka, Ai Kakuma, Shizuka Itoh, Tsuyoshi Koyama and Tomokazu Sugita.
