Major CS:GO 2023 Final at the Accor Arena: ticketing opens

The year 2023 will be the year ofeSport in Paris! And as a highlight, the final of the Major CS:GO (Counter-Strike Global Offensive), which will be held at theAccor Arena on May 21, 2023, for a competition that begins on May 8. An event that, according to our colleagues of Les Numériques, comes "after the promises of the Élysée concerning the development of esport in France".

Organized by Blast, the eSport event of the year should be held throughout France, as Robbie Douek, the boss of Blast, explains to our colleagues of Franceinfo: "A Major lasts a few weeks, we have the opportunity to really make this format travel...The final will be in Paris and we are delighted to do this at the Accor Hotel Arena in Bercy, but we really want to activate all France ...From north to south, east to west, we're really open to everything.

France, an obvious choice for Robbie Douek: "It's a strategic country for gaming, there are great companies and a great audience," he says, still to Franceinfo. And to continue: "When you see Vitality in France, its fans, its players - like ApeX or Zywoo ... obviously it played.There is really something to do in France. And he took the opportunity to announce the creation of BlastTV, to follow the different games, without closing the door to other broadcasters: "We want to work with different players who are already working in France, whether on television, Twitch or YouTube.We don't want to exclude anyone", adds the boss of Blast. And why not, even, a national channel: "Why not TF1, Canal Plus, M6, the team?It would be a dream that we find the final in prime time!

A major tournament celebrating its 10th anniversary in 2023, just before the 2024 Olympics, which should finally put France at the heart ofeSport, or at least on the front of the stage within the discipline. Concerning the tournament itself, nothing has been revealed for the moment, but we have no doubt that the ins and outs of this event will be revealed soon. And the opportunity to put the French in the stirrup, to finally democratize the discipline, yet developed in the country.
