Fortnite is pulling out all the stops for its new season...Epic Games ' Battle Royale has unveiled the new features for the second season of Chapter 6, entitled Fortnite Lawless, to be discovered from February 21, 2025. A season that revolves around crime, as Epic Games explains:"Crime City never sleeps. Gather your platoon, the time to break, steal and flee without getting caught has come in Chapter 6 - Season 2 of Battle Royale: Lawless, starting February 21," reads the info within the game.
On the map, the island has been transformed, with the addition of new locations such as Crime City, the stronghold of thugs, Shiny Shafts, a mine rich in gold ingots, and Lonewolf Lair, the ultra-secure lair of crime boss Fletcher Kane. In addition to these new points of interest, armored convoys and a fortified train criss-cross the map, offering prime targets for players in search of riches.
In terms of arsenal, this season introduces weapons specially designed for heists. Thermite can be used to blow up vaults, while plasma lasers and jet drills facilitate break-ins. New weapons such as the collateral damage assault rifle, the hawk-eye sniper rifle and the outlaw shotgun add diversity to the gameplay. Among the most noteworthy new tools, we also feature the Mudbreaker, which improves movement speed and jumps, and theGold Asprayer, which restores health while granting speed bonuses.
This season's Battle Pass, meanwhile, features a varied cast with colorful characters such as Vito Cornichone, a rapper-criminal at the head of his own currency, the Vitocoin, as well as Cassidy Quinn, Fletcher Kane and Sub-Zero from the Mortal Kombat game. Players will also be able to unlock the Outlaw Midas outfit from March. For anime fans, a Cowboy Bebop event will introduce exclusive quests and outfits for Spike Spiegel and Faye Valentine. The season will conclude on May 2, 2025, offering players a final chance to collect as much loot as possible before the next adventure.
