A giant Japanese Christmas Market at the gates of Paris: Shizen 2023 awaits you at Cité Fertile

When we think of Christmas markets in Paris, it's often the image of traditional chalets and string lights that comes to mind. However, this year at Cité Fertile, we invite you to discover Shizen, a different and enriching experience. Now in its fourth year, this Japanese Christmas market will cover an area of 10,000 square meters on December 9 and 10.

With over 80 exhibitors, you'll be able to discover and celebrate all manner of Japanese arts and crafts. If last year's edition is anything to go by, the stalls are sure to feature ..:

• Illustrations
• Local teas
• Design and decorative objects
• Braderie
• Clothing, including kimonos
• And of course, a wide selection of sakes!

But that's not all. Shizen isn't just a market, it's a journey into the heart of Japanese culture. During your visit, you'll be encouraged to take part in workshops such as :

• Calligraphy
• Origami
• Manga
• Ikebana, the Japanese floral art
  

Music fans will also be delighted by performances of taiko, those impressive Japanese drums, as well as Japan Connection Festival DJ sets. We're promised even more for this edition, with the rest of the program to be unveiled shortly.
