For three days, La Residencia Diplomático opens the doors of an old painter's studio tucked in the heart of the 19th arrondissement of Paris, just steps from the Jourdain metro. A vibrant and authentic space, where exposed bricks, timber beams and a green courtyard mingle, conceived as an immersion into the cultural and artisanal world of the Venezuelan house.
Each day spotlights a different craft through small-group workshops led by guest artisans. Straw marquetry, ceramics or leatherwork: participants are invited to slow down, explore a hands-on technique, and leave with a piece they’ve created themselves.
Seen as a timeless interlude, La Residencia Diplomático honors the passing of tradition, patience, and the pursuit of excellence in craftsmanship, all within a warm and convivial setting.

At La Residencia Diplomático, the table becomes a meeting place for two culinary heritages. For three days, chefs Shéhrézade Alfonso and Ruben Tayupo take over the house’s kitchens to offer an experience drawn from Venezuela and the Mediterranean basin.
Based in Marseille, Shéhrézade Alfonso crafts a contemporary plant-based cuisine guided by seasonal produce, bold spices, and a play of textures. At her side, Ruben Tayupo delves into South American culinary traditions and techniques with a generous, culturally rooted approach.
Together, they imagine a a kitchen designed around sharing, knowledge transfer and dialogue between cultures. Each creation resonates with aromatic notes — caramel, vanilla and gentle spices — to craft subtle pairings inspired by Venezuelan and Mediterranean flavors.
La Residencia also welcomes chocolatier Edwin Yansane and barman Léa Colla, founder of Wow Garnish, for an unprecedented workshop dedicated to the art of garnish. Chocolate becomes a true medium for creation: exploring textures, selecting cocoa origins, and hunting for perfect pairings. Participants will discover the moves and know-how that give cocktail service its full artistic dimension, in an immersive experience built around detail and creativity.
