The magic of the Christmas season once again invades the capital. Among the highlights of the season are, of course, the animated window displays and giant Christmas tree at Galeries Lafayette Haussmann. This year, the department store chose to unveil its windows in the style of a magazine editorial.
The event kicked off on Wednesday November 15. In the evening, the windows were unveiled in the presence of Juliette Armanet, Charles de Vilmorin and the Cékedubonheur association. Then it was the turn of the large Christmas tree to launch its illuminations. Finally, a Juliette Armanet showcase enchanted the spectators who had come to attend the event.
This year's showcases take us into the epic story of the little girl and the magic paintbrush who travel to an imaginary land, a story imagined by fashion designer Charles de Vilmorin, who brought his drawings, imagination and creations to life. A tender story as if it were his own, that of a dreamy child who escapes to meet his dreams to live out his wildest Christmas.
Galeries Lafayette unveils a dozen animated tableaux that take us into the world of the Lady Star and Santa Claus, that symbol of the night that tells the very beginning of the Christmas tale in a very tender way. Like last year, these windows have been created in partnership withAtelier Bournillat.
Inside, you'll find the large, sublime Christmas tree, which also transports you into this magical, fairytale world, delighting young and old alike. Light and transparency are the order of the day for this year's edition, with creatures gravitating around the tree like a grand concerto. Every year, discovering the new Galaries Lafayette Christmas tree is a real treat. Always different and animated, it always stands proudly in the center of the department store, under its majestic dome.
In short, you can't wait to feast your eyes on these beautiful Christmas windows and experience the magic of Christmas. From November 15, children, parents and strollers of all kinds are invited to stroll along and enter the department store. And don't forget to take advantage of Galeries Lafayette 's famous Glass Walk for a breathtaking view of this beautiful tree.
