Illustration has the wind in its sails: now's the time to take a closer look! Les Puces de l'Illu, France's leading festival ofcontemporary illustration, will be held for the eleventh year on December 2 and 3, 2023 at the Fonderie de l'Image Campus in Bagnolet. Organized by the school of graphic and digital design, the free event once again brings together professionals from the illustration and independent publishing industries, as well as the simply curious, who would like to find a one-of-a-kind work of art!
The program includes meetings with some 120 exhibitors: illustrators, printers, tattoo artists, independent booksellers... But also conferences, round tables, book signings, workshops and exciting exhibitions on the theme of images. For this new edition, the Musée en Herbe will also be offering a workshop area dedicated to young audiences!
The show also goes beyond the Campus for a weekend out of doors in eastern Paris, to bring contemporary art to all audiences. Dozens of guided tours, lectures and performances will be held in public spaces.
This year, the Prix Etudiant de l'Illustration Contemporaine will be awarded by a jury of professionals, to highlight the richness and creativity of the French youth art scene. Creators taking part will be able to demonstrate their skills in a wide range of drawing techniques, from animation to embroidery, painting or printing, if they are under 25.
