For another year, the Salon du Roman Historique will be held in Levallois, at the Parc de la Planchette, on July 1 and 2, 2023. This literary event, dedicated to history, offers the public the chance to immerse themselves in fascinating works, including novels, stories and biographies, during book signings, debates and events, next to a hundred-year-old oak tree.
150 authors from all walks of life will be on hand over the two days, along with Annick Cojean, Le Monde's leading reporter and biographer of Simone Veil and Gisèle Halimi, for an edition devoted in part to women's history. A " Grande Dictée de l'Histoire" (Great Dictation of History ) will focus on the figure of Coco Chanel, while aliterary walk will enable visitors to discover the books of Barroux, Raphaël Fejtö and Christine Palluy.
Not forgetting children, who will not be outdone at this festival, thanks to fun drawing and writing workshops, shows and the Young Readers' Prize, to create a new generation of little historians. The Studio Histoire, a literary café devoted to historical novels, will give authors of adult and children's literature the opportunity to speak and present their works at readings and round-table discussions.
And to close the book festival, a tribute will be paid to Colette on the 150th anniversary of her birth, with Éric Genovese of the Comédie-Française reading extracts from "Blé en herbe", accompanied by a quartet of musicians from the Levallois Conservatoire.
