Internationally acclaimed for his series featuring Detective Erlendur Sveinsson and the Shadow Trilogy, he released his latest novel, "The End of the Journey," on February 6th (Métailié Editions).
On this occasion, a cinema in the 19th arrondissement of Paris is hosting Arnaldur Indridason for a special masterclass on Thursday, April 16, 2026. Fans of the acclaimed Icelandic author will have the chance to delve into his writing process, explore the craft of building suspense, and discuss collective memory. For enthusiasts of the Icelandic language, Indridason will speak in his native tongue; he will be interpreted simultaneously into French by Éric Boury.
It’s worth noting that Arnaldur Indridason began his career as a journalist and film critic for Morgunbladid before turning to crime writing. His international reputation is well established, with many of his novels translated into forty languages. The Icelandic author, who now has a global readership of 18 million, has received numerous awards, particularly for "The City of Jars" and "The Woman in Green."
Her most well-known series remains undoubtedly the one centered around Erlendur Sveinsson, the detective with the Reykjavík police.
