Nearly forty exhibitors, including many foreign galleries, are expected at the Palais Brongniart for the 32nd Salon du Dessin. This year's guest of honor is the Fondation Dubuffet, whose mission is to preserve and promote the work of painter Jean Dubuffet.
The Salon also hosts the latest edition of the Rencontres internationales du dessin. This year's theme is travel drawings. Over the course of two days, various experts and speakers are invited to talk about this artistic genre from different periods and countries.
While amateurs are more than welcome to admire all the exhibits, the show is also aimed at professionals and collectors. Numerous pieces are offered for sale, and researchers and museum curators come to discover or locate priceless and renowned collector's items.
