It's a promising first for this small village in the northeast of the Seine-et-Marne (77): the Méry Animations association launches its very first Plant Festival on Sunday, May 17, 2026, from 2 p.m. to 5 p.m., in the verdant setting of the Parc des Glycines de Méry-sur-Marne. Méry-sur-Marne, a commune of 656 residents tucked along the Marne and about an hour from Paris via the P line (La Ferté-sous-Jouarre station), is one of those Briard villages that go out of their way to keep a lively local life all year round. The Parc des Glycines, a nearby leisure space recently upgraded with a children's playground and a fitness trail, offers a natural, family-friendly setting perfectly suited to this kind of event. One can easily picture tables laid out under the early May sun, with pots and seedlings passing from hand to hand.
