The Mondial de l’Auto is revving up again at Paris Expo Porte de Versailles from October 13 to 18, 2026. New models, test drives, exceptional cars and activities — here’s what to expect.

Engines, gleaming car bodies and four-wheeled novelties are rolling back to Porte de Versailles! The Mondial de l’Auto de Paris returns to Paris Expo for its 91st edition, from October 13 to 18, 2026 (the 12th is dedicated to industry professionals). Born in 1898 and held every two years, this grand automotive rendezvous brings together manufacturers, new models, electric and hybrid vehicles, concept cars and on-board technologies. Visitors come to catch a glimpse of the cars that will hit the roads, compare models, sit behind the wheel, or simply dream in front of a few supercars that are far less likely to turn up in Paris traffic.

The car show has clearly evolved with the editions. Regulars recall a time when Ferrari, Porsche, Lamborghini and other supercars dominated the aisles. In 2024, L’Argus noted that some visitors specifically missed the absence of several prestigious brands long associated with the automotive dream. At the same time, Chinese manufacturers have taken a much more visible place, with brands like BYD, Hongqi, GAC or Leapmotor. Some attendees enjoy discovering models that are still rare in France, while others admit finding it a bit hard to keep up with these new names. The public, for its part, kept coming: the Mondial 2024 drew 508,007 visitors, with more than 3,300 test drives.

Schedule for the 2026 Paris Motor Show

  • The manufacturers and their latest offerings: new models, electric and hybrid vehicles, innovations and world premières occupy a large portion of the stands. Stellantis is notably unveiling more than 60 vehicles across Alfa Romeo, Citroën, DS Automobiles, Fiat, Lancia, Leapmotor, Opel and Peugeot.

  • Car test drives: some models can be tested at the salon’s test centre, by booking in advance.

  • The Dream Zone and the showpiece cars: Ferrari F40, Aston Martin DB5, Mercedes SLR, Porsche 964 Turbo, Rolls-Royce Cullinan and Alpine Pikes Peak are highlighted in this space dedicated to the most spectacular models.

  • Movie and TV cars: the Pop Culture Zone brings together 25 vehicles known from cinema and television, including the DeLorean from Back to the Future Part II, KITT from Knight Rider, a Toyota Supra from Fast & Furious, the Peugeot 406 from Taxi 2, and even a Batmobile.

  • The Electric Factory: this educational space looks at how electric cars are made, battery technology, hydrogen, and also safety, durability and reparability.

  • Animations, DJ sets and night-time highlights: the show also features a Laser Show, musical performances and several evening highlights, especially Friday and Saturday.

  • Conferences and meetups: electric mobility, embedded AI, decarbonisation, evolving consumer expectations, sector careers… multiple sessions explore the automobile beyond the latest models on the stands.

  • The Chinese manufacturers: BYD, GAC, Hongqi and Leapmotor illustrate the rising prominence of these brands at the Mondial. A chance to discover models still unfamiliar to the French market.

  • Concept cars, premiers and upcoming novelties: several announcements are still to be added to the programme in the coming weeks, with new models, technologies and fresh presentations.

The program for the 2026 Mondial de l’Auto will continue to expand right up to the opening. Automakers, new models, test drives and activities are expected to further enrich this edition before the show kicks off.
