It was a great spectacle we witnessed on Sunday June 11, 2023! Casper Ruud and Novak Djokovic faced off onthe Roland-Garros court in the final of the tennis tournament. The two top sportsmen battled relentlessly under a blazing sun.
And Novak Djokovic outclassed his opponent in just three sets. The Serbian player won this 2023 edition, to the ovations of the Roland-Garros public. It was his 23rd Grand Slam, making Djokovic the record holder for the most Grand Slam victories in men's tennis, beating Rafael Nadal, who didn't take part in this year's French Open.
Novak Djokovic's victory was applauded, as he lifted the Coupe des Mousquetaires for the third time. It was the second time in a row that Norwegian Casper Ruud had reached the final, but as against Nadal last year, he couldn't do anything, even though he didn't lose out!
The 2023 edition of the French Open thus comes to an end on Sunday June 11, 2023, with another victory for Novak Djokovic.
