Rock en Seine is gearing up for a return to the Domaine national de Saint-Cloud from August 26 to 30, 2026. Once again, the festival is pulling out all the stops, welcoming a slew of talented artists, including Nick Cave & The Bad Seeds, Interpol, Deftones, Turnstile, Lorde, Sparks, Franz Ferdinand, and Australia’s Amyl & The Sniffers. While Tyler, The Creator will kick things off, the iconic British band The Cure has the task of closing this 2026 edition of Rock en Seine in style. And Robert Smith’s crew should have no trouble delivering on that front.
As a cornerstone of the British new wave scene, The Cure keeps touring the globe, 48 years after forming in England. Behind timeless anthems such as "Just Like Heaven", "Boys Don't Cry", "Lullaby", "Lovesong", "Friday I'm In Love" and "Close to Me", The Cure released on November 1, 2024 the opus "Songs of a Lost World", their fourteenth studio album and their first in 16 years, since "4:13 Dream" in 2008.
Since then, The Cure have been touring relentlessly. This summer, Robert Smith and his band will bring their show to the doorstep of Paris, at the Rock en Seine festival, seven years after their first visit. For those unable to attend, there’s good news: France Télévisions will broadcast the closing concert live.
